Plague Inc. update brings tie-in to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Plague Inc. has been updated with a new disease that players can use to wipe out humanity, that also ties in to the upcoming release of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in theaters. The new pack, the Simian Flu, costs $1.99 as an in-app purchase

The Simian Flu pits humanity against a growing civilization of intelligent apes. As the player, you can control communities of these apes. You can evolve your disease to allow for ape-to-ape transmission, improving cognition and creating colonies to protect your apes. You can have your apes attack research labs that are searching for a cure, and control their movements to avoid detection by military drones.

This update contains a number new genes, and evolutions, along with minor bug fixes and improvements. You can download Plague Inc. 1.9 now from the Google Play Store.

It seems if you've already paid for the game, the new pack is already accessible. Or at least that's how it worked for me.

I loved this game, but they charge for every virus and disease. The cheap ones are crap and they barely take less time to do their job.
