Xperia E3 India

After unveiling the device at the IFA earlier this month, Sony is launching the Xperia E3 in the Indian market. The handset is available in single and dual-SIM variants in the country, with the single-SIM version retailing for Rs. 11,790 ($194) and the dual-SIM version costing Rs. 12,790 ($210).

The Xperia E3 has a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480, quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, microSD slot up to 32 GB, 5 MP shooter at the back, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2330 mAh battery. On the software side of things, you'll get Android 4.4 KitKat. The device will be available in storefronts and on ecommerce sites by the end of the month.

With devices like the new Moto G available in the country at the same price segment, it remains to be seen if Sony can manage to attract a significant amount of consumer interest with the Xperia E3.
