Motorola Moto Surround

The big Motorola event this week introduced a few affordable Bluetooth headphones in addition to a smattering of new phones. The Moto Surround is a lightweight waterproof set that offers 12 hours of playback. The collar offers full access to all of your playback and call options. A dedicated app lets you find your missing buds, and check on battery levels. Alternatively, there are the larger Moto Pulse headphones which boast a bit more battery life at the cost of bulk.

Amazon Dash Button

If being an Amazon Prime subscriber wasn't already an efficient enough way to empty your wallet, how about a physical button that can instantly order consumables to your door with one press? Once you stick it somewhere in the house, you can manage which specific product is ordered from your phone, and cancel accidental orders. Tide brand detergent has been the headline partner for this system, but you can find buttons for Glad bags, Gillette razors, and Gerber baby formula, too.

Zipbuds Slide

A simple set of headphones by Zipbuds were made available recently that feature a handy, tangle-free way of keeping them stored. A low-friction slider slips up the wire between the two headphones to keep them together, or minimize slack while you're wearing them. This also keeps tangles to a minimum while they're in your bag. The in-line microphone includes a button for media playback, voice call functions, and voice commands. The Slide earbuds are available in a selection of subdued and eye-popping colors.

TYLT ENERGI Sliding Case for the Galaxy S6

Those that are really serious about getting extra battery life for their Samsung Galaxy S6 will want to check out the TYLT ENERGI Sliding Case. It packs a 3,400 mAh battery and additional all-around protection. Though there's a USB passthrough available for charging and syncing, the ENERGI case also sports its own Qi wireless charging coil. NFC support stays consistent through the case, too. The charging pack does add a lot of bulk, but luckily you can slide the battery portion off, leaving simple protective case behind.

Volkswagen MIB II

Volkswagen kicked off a new car dash entertainment system that works with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The basic modular infotainment platform sports a 5-inch 400 x 240 display, supports rear camera, and inputs for SD cards, USB, aux-in, and Bluetooth. Four different MIB II variants are available, each with increased screen size and resolution, and extra software features. Alongside the new head unit a subscription service called is Car-Net. It offers remote vehicle access, location tracking, and electric vehicle charging functions from a dedicated smartphone app. 2016 vehicles packing the MIB II are hitting Volkswagen showrooms now.
