HTC Supersonic

So here's a slightly more believable look at what could be the HTC Supersonic, the purported Android WiMAX phone that may be headed to Sprint. And if the Windows Mobile-powered HD2 has a brother, it'd be this guy, if the reported specs are right: 4.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen. Android 2.1 with Sense. 1GHz Snapdragon processor. WiMAX. Kickstand (which could point to FLO TV like on the HTC Imagio on Verizon). 5MP camera.

Certainly none of that is anything to sneeze at, right? One more pic of the back after the break. [Via AndroidMobileOS] (Thanks, EvilElmer)

I'm more yuck on the red stripe up top but I will deal. I knew there would be N1-class devices out all over the place eventually but I was wondering when they would make it to Sprint. A Wimax option is great so long as they don't charge me more. I use Clear (Sprint/Clearwire) Wimax for my home internet but the Sprint 4g mobile plans are pricey in comparison.

Still, 4.3" OLED, Wimax, Android 2.1, and a regular cheap Sprint plan will be a winning combo for me.

I like the look of this phone. But I was wondering what WIMAX is?

Sprints next generation network. It's the "4G" that they talk about on their network. Currently available in only a few cities.

Yeah. I looked it up a while after posting. I was just feelin lazy since I was browsing on my phone and didn't feel like looking it up at the time. Thank you for the kind response though and not just telling me to google it.

Unfortunately I ain't buying these photos either. This is supposed to be an Android version of HTC HD2, which it looks nothing like. In fact this looks extremely cheesy and old.

It just "meh" as of right now...

These pictures look really fake. The cable connecting to the phone on top photo looks like an ethernet cable, and the one on the bottom looks like a piece of paper.

Hmm, Sprint doesn't have service here, hopefully AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile will pick it up as they do have service where I live (NW CA).
