OnePlus 2

With the OnePlus 2 launching later this month, the Chinese vendor has been sharing details about the upcoming handset. Thus far, we know that the phone will retail for under $450, feature 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, feature a 3,300mAh battery, a lightning-quick fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C and a Snapdragon 810. Today, co-founder Carl Pei shed more light on the "vastly improved" invite process for the phone.

From OnePlus:

With the OnePlus One, we did a bit better than we thought we would. This has made us more confident, and therefore we will have far more launch inventory than last time. We're talking about 30-50x last year. This means that it will be significantly easier to get an invite from the very beginning.

The manufacturer has also revealed that it will offer users a "reservation list," with interested customers entering their e-mail address and getting an invite as soon as they become available:

For those who don't have time to hang out on forums or social media, we'll have a quick and painless reservation list. Simply enter your email and we'll send you an invite as soon as they're available. We'll be prioritizing our early forum supporters here.

Everyone buying the OnePlus 2 will also receive subsequent invites that they'll be able to share with their friends, with shareable invites arriving faster than before. What do you guys think of OnePlus' efforts in tweaking its invite system?
