After stating that the Nexus 6 will be available in the country before the end of the year, Google is set to launch the Nexus 9 in India. The device has been spotted on the Indian Play Store, with both Wi-Fi only and LTE configurations listed as coming soon. The 16 GB Wi-Fi only variant will be available in the country for Rs. 28,900 ($470), while the 32 GB LTE model is listed for Rs. 44,900 ($730).
One of the first devices to run Android 5.0 Lollipop, the HTC-manufactured Nexus 9 comes with a 8.9-inch 2048 x 1536 display, 2.3GHz dual-core 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 8 MP camera at the back,1.6 MP front shooter, Wi-Fi ac connectivity, LTE bands for Indian carriers, front BoomSound stereo speakers and a 6,700 mAh battery.
Currently, both versions of the Nexus 9 on offer on the Indian Play Store feature the Indigo Black color trim, with no mention of when other color variants will be available. There isn't also any indication as to whether the 32 GB Wi-Fi only version will launch in the country. While there isn't a concrete launch date available, it is expected that the tablet will make its debut in the country sometime in the month of November.
