Asus was the first manufacturer to launch a handset offering 4GB RAM with the ZenFone 2, and now Lenovo is launching a competitor in the K80, which boasts similar hardware.
The Lenovo K80 will debut in China on April 30 for 1,799 Yuan ($290), which is in the vicinity of the ZenFone 2's asking price in the country. For that price, the Lenovo K80 offers the following specs:
- 5.5-inch full-HD display
- 1.8GHz 64-bit Intel Atom CPU
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB internal storage
- 13MP camera with OIS
- LTE connectivity
- 4,000mAh battery
- 8.5mm thickness
- Black, silver, and red color variants
- Android 5.0 with Lenovo Vibe UI
Lenovo is also planning to launch a version of the K80 that offers 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, which will be sold in China for 1,499 Yuan ($240). At this stage, there's no information to suggest that the K80 will be available outside of China, but with the launch slated for April 30, we will get to know more about Lenovo's plans for the handset later this month.
