Seems like 4.2.2 was more than the Nexus 7 could handle. Makes me wonder if 4.3 will turn it into a real clunker.

4.3 should be more refined than 4.2.2 so I wouldn't expect it to slow it down too much. Its a light update.

Depending on your carrier you can probably expect to wait a bit.

Assuming that you have the Google Edition, you will wait for the manufacturers release

"pushing TODAY for current Nexus devices...."

I'm assuming this EXCLUDES Verizon Galaxy Nexus? :)

duh.

Man, am I scared to go in THAT forum today!

I'd imagine VZW GNex owners can expect their update by October or November...

October or november 2014, right?

Please don't hold your breath.

blp72 says:

Good question...I'm wondering the same...Are they considering the Verizon Galaxy Nexus an actual Nexus (I don't) to receive 4.3 ota?

bluesun3030 says:

It's quite clear that the Verizon Galaxy Nexus & Verizon Motolora Xoom 3G/4G have been the ugly step-children of the Nexus family. Thanks Verizon.

c_hack says:

The Verizon GNex as sold by Verizon has never and will never get updates when they are released by Google. If you are lucky you may get it in 4 to 6 months.

That's why mine is running CM.

TurboFool says:

I wonder how long it'll take for people to receive the package and upload it for those of us who get queued until later. I'm hitting those Check Now buttons on both my devices, but obviously nothing yet.

mike31082 says:

I wonder if the Google Edition SG4 and HTC One are getting it today as well?

"Google Edition device owners aren't included in the initial push, but their respective updates were confirmed to be landing soon."

Yeah, mentioned that in the part of the post with words in ;-)

The one that Tmobile sold was the sane as the one from the Play Store. It'll update just like any N4

Has anyone got 4.3 on the nexus 7 today through OTA? Because I haven't on my Nexus.

rootedVette says:

They do staged rollouts so as not to blow up their servers. The OTA will come, or you can wait for someone to pay the update zip for you to sideload.

RushNFour says:

I just got off the phone with a Verizon rep and as expected they have absolutely no knowledge of an update in the pipeline for the Galaxy Nexus, lol I go figure!

I hope this is not the last update my Galaxy Nexus receives... Wish it could run stock KLP when it comes out next~

MERCDROID says:

I'm almost certain that it is. Winter makes two years, since the GNex came out.

Pau Gustaf says:

Have you updated your Galaxy Nexus yet? Have you run a performance check with Quadrant. Mine was pretty sad at around 2130 on 4.3.

SLiCkMASTER says:

Aaaaaaaaaand this is the reason to purchase a Nexus device...seriously let's start the clock and see how long it takes for OEM's to follow suit (I'm looking at you Verizon).

dylan808 says:

You guys probably already knew this by now. But it's refreshing to get direct updates so quickly for my N4. As my first Nexus device its miles ahead of everyone else when it comes to timely updates/fixes.

MERCDROID says:

This. I feel that way about my GNex. If the Moto X doesn't pan out, then it's the Nexus 5 for me.

This over the air thing is for the birds. I still don't have the update!

Zetaprime says:

It would be nice if it worked Apple style..with the OTA or download option.( though that also brings the dreaded iTunes into the picture) I saw the files available on 3rd party sites but those like like more than the average user could be expected to deal with, and require a complete wipe of the device, unlike the way it works on an Apple device, where you can download the file and then do a non-destructive update via iTunes. Maybe the Google store could fill the same role as iTunes in doing updates.

Actually, doing an adb sideload on your nexus device doesn't require a data wipe at all. Someone's just tryna promo Apple in an Android website. Good luck with that buddy.

chowdog13 says:

I have the Nexus 4 and don't have it yet. :(

Anyone here get the OTA yet? I have been waiting all day and still not showing up. I am rooted and on stock so it should come up. I have SuperSU pro with the root protection on, but I should still be able to get the OTA, right? It worked last time for me when I did the 4.2.2 update.

Nexus 7 here..no luck getting the update.

Paul D Troy says:

Haven't seen any confirmation or screenshot of the camera ui yet.. I assume it's included?

Good question. With the new rear camera it would seem that an app would be needed.
