Quick App: Beautiful Widgets

Jeremy Sikora News Thursday, 10 December 2009

So you say you just purchased a new Android device but it's lacking some of the eye candy similar to the Sense UI that comes standard on the latest HTC devices. In our forums, a question asked time and time again is "How can I get HTC's Sense UI on my device?" While we can not give you the real thing (yet), a great alternative is Beautiful Widgets, currently available in the Android marketplace.

Beautiful Widgets costs 1.18 Euros, approximately $1.39, and comes to us from

Casey Chan News Tuesday, 27 October 2009

Don't get jealous. HTC has made the HTC Sense UI available to the HTC Magic...in Taiwan. The custom Sense UI which makes the HTC Hero the best Android phone currently on the market is now available to Chunghwa Telecom customers with an HTC Magic. There's really no telling when (if, ever) HTC Sense will roll out to Magics around the world but if it does happen, the...

Casey Chan Featured Thursday, 15 October 2009

We’ve already discussed the hardware of the HTC Hero in our previous review and in short, it’s great. The wonderful build quality and high-end design will certainly make it appealing to tons of users, new and long time smartphone users alike. But what makes the HTC Hero truly special is the software, HTC Sense.

We’ve

Another Hands-On Video of the HTC Tattoo, HTC Sense UI

Casey Chan News Friday, 18 September 2009

One of our biggest issues with the HTC Tattoo, HTC's next Android phone, is the resistive touchscreen. We believe that capacitive touchscreens have worked so incredibly well with the Android OS that to take a step back to include resistive screens is a misstep. However, after watching the video above, our concerns regarding the...

Casey Chan News Tuesday, 15 September 2009

If you're familiar with the HTC Hero (and who isn't?), you should know that the biggest selling point of the device is its custom built UI, HTC Sense. The Sense UI is absolutely beautiful, sleek and sexy, and polished. However, the one thing it wasn't was fast. In fact, most pre-release reviews complained that the lag could...

HTC Sense UI Not Coming to Google-Branded Phones, Sorry G1 & myTouch 3G

Casey Chan News Tuesday, 30 June 2009

To clarify on our previous report that the amazing HTC Sense UI was going to be "available to on some other existing devices", those 'other existing devices' won't include the T-Mobile G1 or myTouch 3G. Sadly, HTC Sense will not be available for Google-branded phones and both the G1 and myTouch 3G are Google experience phones. The reasoning is due to licensing restrictions...

Will HTC Sense UI Be Available on Other Devices ?

Casey Chan News Thursday, 25 June 2009

Undoubtedly, the biggest hit of the HTC Hero announcement had to be the new HTC Sense UI. It was all kinds of slick, sexy, and smooth--to say we were more than impressed is to sell our reaction short--we're as excited to use the Sense UI as we were for the launch of Android back in October.

So color us jubilated when HTC CEO Peter Chou dropped this nugget:

"HTC sense will be available on some...

A video was just posted on the new HTC Hero UI dubbed 'Sense'. There's not much to the video other than some brief scroll throughs of contacts and the like but you can definitely see the TouchFLO 3D-inspiration of the interface. We're very excited to use this on the Hero and we're hoping that it doesn't bog the phone down too much,...
