HTC is once again set to offer a flagship-level smartphone with a plastic chassis.
Earlier this month, a device dubbed the One E9 was found listed on the Chinese equivalent of the FCC with a 5.5-inch QHD display, 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 CPU, 3GB RAM, 20MP camera and 32GB storage. The listing featured images of the device showcasing a large camera sensor at the back and what appeared to be a glossy back finish.
Today's image leak — courtesy of @upleaks — reinforces the notion that the One E9 will continue to offer flagship-level hardware in a plastic chassis, as the collage of images reveals a glossy plastic finish at the back of the device. It is likely the device may be marketed as the HTC One E9 Plus, and if its predecessor's availability is any indication, will be limited to Asian markets. The One E9 is reportedly set to launch in China next week, with pricing estimated at $480.
We'll let you know as and when we hear more. What do you guys think of the One E9 based on the leaked image above?
