New standard-bearer for mid-range tipped to launch "end of Q3."
Since HTC unveiled a trio of largely forgettable Desire phones back at Mobile World Congress, there's not been much to get excited about from the company's mid-range brand. But that may be about to change, with early rumors suggesting an "HTC Desire 10" is coming.
The report comes from seasoned HTC leaker Evan Blass on Twitter, and while there are no specifics on the phone itself, the name — echoing back to the HTC 10 — suggests it may be somewhat more high-end than the current crop of budget-centric Desires.
Blass adds that the phone will be coming "end of Q3." That could line up with an unveiling at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin, Germany, which has hosted previous Desire phones like the 820 in years past.
