Verizon Blue HTC One

If you've been waiting to see what the blue HTC One will look like on Big Red — here's your answer. A tipster sent in this shot of the best Android smartphone currently available (as of our August 2013 rankings) — in blue, with Verizon branding. Not a lot more to say about that. It's the HTC One. And it's blue. And it's on Verizon. (And we got an up-close look at the blue HTC One earlier this week, if you need more.)

We're told it has a street day of today — so check with your local store. (We've got an e-mail into Verizon to confirm.) You also can buy the standard silver HTC One on Verizon now.

Thanks, anon!

Wouldn't blue make more sense on AT&T, and the Red on Verizon?

jaeskill says:

Not necessarily, Verizon isn't restricted to "team colors". It's refreshing to see them open up and not be so close minded about what to offer, when to offer it, and why.

Actually, after Verizon was first formed they offered a number of Blue & Silver-bodied handsets. It wasn't until later that Red became their signature color.

This blue reminds me of the blue on the '98 Neon R/T I used to own...I'm glad I didn't buy this phone at launch. Decisions Decisions...

pheatton says:

Blue... no I dont want a blue one I want a RED ONE!!!!

Besides I can see the color chipping or wearing off like the iPhone eventually.

reeper55 says:

It's anodized, it won't chip.

Posted via Android Central App using this POS borrowed Thunderbolt while waiting for the G2 because I walked into the ocean with my GNex in my pocket.

Thanks, it was an epic signature for an epically shitty situation. As you can see below, I have made some progress!

Posted via Android Central App on this HTC One I just picked up for a week till the LG G2 launches on Verizon.

frettfreak says:

Interested to see if you miss the One when you get your G2.

reeper55 says:

I don't think I will. Nothing about it is blowing me away. It is a VERY, and I do mean very solidly performing phone. I have not seen one little hint of any lag. That being said, there are two things I don't like about the One. First is the power button, it's placement just doesn't work for me, I am left handed and it's just not easy to get to on the top left of the phone. Secondly it sits too low and at a funny angle making it hard to press once I do get my finger on or near it.

My HTC Eco 4G Is Lagging Freezing Up. I Am Going To Have To Take It Back. So Sad As I Am In Love With The Phone So Much....

Eh, this is my first HTC phone and they haven't done me wrong yet. Customer service always replies almost instantly via twitter and I'm running 4.2.2

I want to stay away from Verizon so bad, but man that phone looks hot! Or maybe cool since it's blue. :)

Didn't Phil say on last pod cast that vzw wouldn't have a blue HTC one? Something about it is att color?

vansmack says:

In his defense, it seemed reasonable at the time.

But yes, he did.

Is there a difference between the Blue version on Verizon and the Vivid Blue that's linked?

I'm hoping it's just the lighting that's causing the darker shade...

Hosehead says:

Now how about the 64GB version?

That's great... but I'm waiting to see if the illusive black version shows up before I make my decision.

Still prefer silver and black over blue and red.

tim242 says:

BUT PHIL, You just said on the last podcast that Verizon would never get a blue phone. You also said that at&t would never get a red phone...even though released a red S3 and S4. You stated it with such confidence too. You were rude to Alex when he suggested it would come to Verizon.

He will apologize I am sure. If it were jerry he would just double down and go with 'who cares it is Nexus!!! '

NoNexus says:

See the HTC One? Make it bigger and then compare it to the note 3. I do not think they are going to throw any new features in

i understand but lets wait and see i don't want to make rush decision i want to see both and then pick one

If this thing looks anywhere near as good as the red one looks in person, then it will be a tempting piece of hardware for would be store patrons.

le0le0n says:

I just chatted with an online rep who said this version is only available at Best Buy. I inquired because I recently upgraded to the silver One and I wanted to know if I am still in the exchange window. I'm not but at least I don't feel like I did after buying the original droid razr.
