HTC Sensation promo

HTC is ramping up the hype around its upcoming dual-core flagship phone, the Sensation, with a new promotional video showing off the device's hardware and software. In particular, there's a great deal of info about shiny new Sense 3.0 features like active lockscreens, improved weather animations and HTC Watch, the manufacturer's new movie and TV streaming service. Check out the video for yourself after the jump.

Yet another amazing phone that will never make it to Verizon. Loyal VZ customer but getting sick of this shit with their nasty phone selection

Verizon's HTC equivalent will come next summer when the mobile world has moved on to quad cores...just like V got the Tbolt a yr after the EVO came out, now that we're on duocores. Just my .02. Always a day late and....

Thats exactly right a year behind others in phone offering, the one with some nice features the Bioninc is now delayed and they keep trying to sell the outdated Thunderbolt and Charge, oh well unfortunately they have the best coverage so we will have to drool over TMobile and Att s phone selection

I want this phone. This is what I've been waiting for to upgrade from the Incredible. If this doesn't come to Verizon I'll be going wherever it is.

Meh. Looks like a great phone but the looked and signed bootloader kills it for me. Bad move, HTC. I guess my next phone will either be the next Nexus phone or a Samsung.

SENSE 3.0 is nice just loaded eViL Dee MyTouch 4G port again.... i can't seem to leave it alone.

objdadon says:

You're right! Give us the release date for evo 3d! Sensation will be nice for tmobile but evo 3d is and will be king! Stop being so quiet, come on!!!

mhmmdy123 says:

You forgot to add the DUAL CORE on the EVO 3D.

coronaboy10 says:

yA, but the EVO3d is butt ugly.

IceDree says:

Got that right

kinster02 says:

That depends on who's butt your looking at...now bring on the Evo 3D.

sprinttouch says:

IMO its better looking the the sensation! the fronts are kinda identical, and i like the back of the 3D a lot more

Cant see the video.. is it just me?

IceDree says:

>"HTC is ramping up the hype around its upcoming dual-core flagship phone, the Sensation"

What exactly makes the "Sensation" the HTC "Flagship" phone?

1) The specs on the Evo 3D are the same or nearly the same down the line
2) There are features on the Evo 3D that are not on the Sensation (+3D display, +3D camera)
3) It is likely there will be FAR more Evo 3D's sold than Sensations
4) I have not seen HTC refer to the Sensation as their "Flagship" phone ANYWHERE. Provide a link, please.

Just curious...

gohaus says:

Well in case you didn't know HTC also releases phones in the European market and from what I've read THIS is the flagship phone over there and kind of a big deal. So it's only right to assume that this would also be the flagship phone over here.
So really the Evo 3D is just a Sensation sister phone that has one added feature (which is a total gimmick anyway).

objdadon says:

The sensation is a beautiful wonderful phone but I'll be the guy standing next to the sensation owner with my evo 3d saying " that's cool, but can your phone do this?" Evo 3d please!

I COMPLETELY AGREE. It is the middle of May and still, no word on the Evo 3D price or release date!! THIS IS MADNESS! At this point last year, we had a price, a release date, and virtuallu every question about the Evo 4G answered. What's taking so long for them to announce (I'll settle for a leak at this point) something? Come on, HTC! I know you don't wanna take any thunder away from the Sensation's launch, but throw us a bone.

mhmmdy123 says:

The release it`ll be on the first week of June whatch and see, the same what happen to the first EVO 4G.

moo53 says:

This is nice but Sprint and HTC have put a lock down on all information regarding the Evo 3D. I mean this phone is like a rumor that just disappeared. If it's suppose to launch in early June, where is all the news and marketing? We have one unofficial pre-order that you have to ask about from Best Buy and a ad in ESPN. I'm like a spoiled child anxiously waiting for Christmas morning lol.

mhmmdy123 says:

I saw the accessories for the EVO 3D on line two days ago.

coronaboy10 says:

I like the Sensation looks much more than the Evo3d. Every htc phone seems to get the stupid circles around the function buttons. And the gaudy red ring around the rear camera lens is just too thick. The 3d buttons on/off buttons on the side look silly. I'm sure it will be fun to use but imo its design is just a hot mess. I like the Sensation because its minimalist and sleek. It might not have the specs the EVO3d has with the 3d functionality but its a much more mature looking device. The HTC devices at least running android for Sprint all seem to have those ugly circles on the function buttons.

gohaus says:

Those circles are just a part of the EVO design which I do agree are kind of ugly. The Sensation looks like a wonderful phone and I have no need for silly gimmicks like 3D on my phone anyway. The only thing I'd like, but wouldn't be able to use yet, is NFC.
