3.4GB of Avengers, Guardians, Big Hero 6, and Tron on your smartphone or tablet.
The Toys to Life category of gaming has been growing at an incredible rate over the last two years, and Disney Infinity has been a big part of that. With the release of Disney Infinity 2.0, the game took a turn from clever collectible franchise with a personal design element to an entire universe of mingames and subplots featuring characters from all across the Disney IP. As if it wasn't already cool to have Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy, Elsa from Frozen, and Vanellope from Wreck-it Ralph all running around the same world on your television, the Toy Box experience has now made its way to Android.
Disney Infinity: Toy Box 2.0 is free to play, even if you've never picked up one of the NFC-based figurines before. The game sets you up with your choice of three characters to start out with for free, and rotates these digital characters for others in the set as you continue to play and build your Toy Box. If you're already playing Disney Infinity 2.0 on a console, all you need to do to access your existing Toy Box on your phone or tablet is sign in with your Disney account. The cloud sync will do the rest, and you'll be able to play Toy Box games with all of the same features from the console — including characters with flying abilities.
Also, no, you can't just tap the figurines to the back of the phone or tablet. You'll need to use the portal still. Again.
