LG Tribute 2 and Tribute Duo hit Sprint's Prepaid networks

LG Tribute 2 and Tribute Duo are the latest budget phones to hit both Sprint Prepaid and Virgin Mobile. Those looking to stick with Sprint's prepaid network will be purchasing the LG Tribute Duo, while customers on Virgin Mobile will be looking for the LG Tribute 2. Customers of either network can purchase the new smartphone for $99 plus taxes, without involving a contract.

Featuring a 4.5-inch display, both the Tribute 2 and Tribute Duo have a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, and run Android 5.1. Powered by a 1,900mAh battery, the phone is said to offer up to 16 hours of talk time, and the buttons are found on the back, much like with LG's other devices.

Sprint's prepaid plans currently start at $35 with unlimited talk and text and 1GB of data, and go up to $55 for 6GB of data. Virgin Mobile plans start at $30 for 300 minutes and 3GB of 4G data, and go up to $40 for unlimited talk and 3GB of 4G data.
