Verizon Wireless is currently rolling out a small software update for its version of the LG G Pad 8.3 tablet. It won't update the device to Android 5.0 Lollipop but it does address a few minor issues with the tablet.
According to the Verizon support document, this update now supports 4G LTE roaming for data in selected markets. It also fixes some problems with powering the tablet on. Finally, the software update removes the Redbox Instant app from the device. The streaming video service, which was a joint venture of Redbox and Verizon, shut down operations in October.
