T-Mobile's software update page has been updated to reflect that the Lollipop update for both the LG G2 and LG G3 is now in carrier testing.
Recently T-Mobile has updated their software update page, changing the status of both devices to 'T-Mobile Testing', a change from the previous 'Manufacturer Development'. We have already seen Sprint and AT&T roll out the Lollipop update for the LG G3 leaving T-Mobile users wondering where their update was. This change means that the software is now in the hands of T-Mobile for final testing. Carrier testing is the final step in the process before the update goes live, so hopefully no big bugs are found that would halt the release.
When it comes to the LG G2 there has not been much information about the Lollipop update release timeline. The device was said to be getting Lollipop at some point after the LG G3, but it seems as though T-Mobile may roll them out around the same time.
Lollipop seems to be doing well for those who have already received it on their LG smartphones, and T-Mobile customers may be able to enjoy it soon as well.
