It looks like Motorola may expand the Moto Maker customization tool to cover the third-generation Moto G (2015), according to a new leak by @evleaks. The leaked render shows how Motorola may offer customers the ability to customize the back color as well as the color of the metal strip at the back.

As for the specs, the latest round of rumors suggest that the device will retain the 5-inch 720p display along with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. Camera is said to be a 13MP variant, with a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC powering the handset. Given the nature of the leaks, there is a possibility that we'll see the final spec sheet changing before the official unveil.
