The LG G2 is the latest Verizon Wireless smartphone to receive an update to Lollipop.


The update, which bumps the LG G2 to Android 5.0 Lollipop, brings some new changes, in addition to the standard features of Google's latest Android release.

Some of the specific changes included in this update are:

  • Overall GUI look has been updated following G3 model and reflecting Lollipop style.
  • G2 Lollipop Notification panel only requires a single swipe to display "Notifications" and "Quick Settings" at once.
  • G2 Lollipop OS Home touch buttons' design changed to Android Lollipop style.
  • Recent button will be inserted between Home and Menu buttons after OS upgrade, user can rearrange the button combinations.
