It's 0.0.1 more.
Its definitely 0.0.1 more than I gots now...
Iphony Killa N5
haha... this one goes to .0.1
Can someone tell me if the battery life has been resolved in this update as I am using a custom rom because the stock rom's battery life isn't good on 5.0.. I have NEXUS 5.. please help!
Since the update was just released, it'll be a day or two before we start seeing actual battery usage reports roll in. Here is the changelog from 5.0 to 5.0.1: http://aosp.changelog.to/aosp-LRX21V-LRX22C.html
This has not solved my battery issues at all. At this rate I will have to charger my photo four to five times a day. Never had this problem with KitKat. This was after a complete wipe and fresh install. Looks like I be going back to KitKat.

WTF is this? It still has that memory leak in it and also the dialer still lags when you press square on speed dial
Yeah.. really WTF google.. FIX ALL THE THINGS FAST I AM ENTITLED TO EVERYTHING PERFECT WITH NOTHING EVER WRONG..EVER..
Lol dude I not asking for perfection I know as a student software engineer that no op can be perfect. I am just this cuz it looks odd
LOL, student huh? Wait until you have a few years under your belt to claim the title engineer with a straight face.
Ill just wait for OTA, since my N5 has been kosher on 5.0.0
Thanks beta testers. The oems will fix it with their heavy skins

Haha.. no worries. It is frustrating to love a product but experience issues. I was only being sarcastic.
I sideloaded the OTA zip. I definitely had less battery life on Lollipop than I did on KitKat, (turning off a couple small things helped...) Hopefully this update improves it.
I've been a software engineer for almost 20 years. What are you studying?
The battery is dying fast due to location being turned on and google location reporting. After disabling location and only turning it on when needed, my battery lasts too long on Android 5.0.
Looks like android police has the ota file available
Save you a click. http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/google_hammerhead/785a2f7af3718dba7e569decde8b6c4dc476a309.signed-hammerhead-LRX22C-from-LRX21O.785a2f7a.zip
Ok Phil, re: your link, should I flash this if I've already flashed 5.00?
I used the file to sideload the upgrade. You can preserve your data that way.
You can also keep your data with a factory image.
OK, I know how to flash the update and keep my data, thx
Wait wait.....before Nonexus comes.....
"Go ahead beta testers! Grab your sorry good for nothing file and happy flashing while I wait for Samsung to throw me a bone!"
Magenta is the new Yellow
It's come to that???
I'll be that guy...
My Nexus 7 is STILL waiting on 5.0 OTA
My N5 has been fine on 5.0 so I'll wait on the 5.0.1 OTA
Have they added a better Bluetooth icon?

That's good. I was a bit worried my Nexus 5 was being relegated, with talk of them being dropped. Best thing that could happen IMHO is a Nexus 5 2015 with improved specs. :)
Hoping they've squashed a few of those bugs (sideloading OTA now). I don't expect perfection, but I've got a few issues that make the phone pretty unreliable. Random battery drains, double sms sends, UI randomly stops working, lots of lag etc. I've reset my N5 more in the last month that I did the entire last year.
If 5.0.1 doesn't improve matters, I'll be rolling back to KitKat until they get things sorted. Would prefer not to (just because it's a hassle), but my phone has gone from ultra reliable to pretty flakey.
I've been on 5.0.1 since last night and I think it's a night and day difference for the better. This is what 5.0 should have been.
What issues did you have with 5.0 that you are no longer having with 5.0.1?

Here is a noob question since I'm new to android. Is it possible to update my Nexus 5 from 4.4 to 5.0.1 without loosing data?
@ulrikg, Yes. You will get a notification that a system update is ready for downloading. You will not lose any data.
Going to wait for the OTA push to my phone. I hope this update fixes my Wifi problem which happens even in safe mode. I get no WiFi data as long as cell data is turned on. Turn off cell data and WiFi works perfectly even though the icon in the status bar has a big exclamation point next to it.
I hope this update fixes this so I don't have to keep manually switching data services on and off.
Finally got my Nexus 5 updated to 5.0.1 Lollipop via OTA. No need to sideload anymore. Currently in Jakarta - Indonesia.
Got the ota update. Tried installing and got error. Stock nexus 5. Any ideas?
Seems that room for N5 with 13 Mb is bad. It kills the phone. Use the recovery mode and wait for the update using the 33Mb update
