The HTC Desire 520 is an entry-level smartphone from HTC, and the little brother to the HTC Desire 526. Unlike other HTC smartphones, the Desire 520 is destined just for Cricket Wireless, a pre-paid carrier in the US. The smartphone was first announced by HTC mid-July 2015.

When it comes down to raw specs, on paper the HTC Desire 520 seems to be a reasonable choice for someone who doesn't need a top-of-the-line smartphone. With a 4.5-inch FWVGA display at a resolution of 854x480, the Desire 520 has Qualcomm's Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor that is clocked at 1.1GHz, along with 1GB of RAM. Inside, HTC has included 8GB of storage that can be expanded through a microSD card, as well as a 2,000mAh battery.

Running Android 5.1, the smartphone also features an 8MP camera on the back, and a 2MP shooter on the front.
