Live coverage of all Sony's IFA 2013 announcements as they happen

We're live in Berlin today with Sony, as they kick off the IFA 2013 excitement with their press conference from the halls of Messe Berlin. What to expect, then? We're expecting to see the much leaked Xperia Z1 officially introduced today, and also the interesting looking 'Lens Camera' attachments that have leaked out in recent days and weeks. And, since this is Sony, and this is a consumer electronics show, there's sure to be some non-mobile announcements, including some likely very sexy — and very expensive — 4K televisions.

The show kicks off at 16:00 local time (15:00 BST, 10:00 EDT, 07:00 PDT) so remember to bookmark this page for full live coverage. You'll find our liveblog after the break.

The hype will be around Samsung but I'm way more excited to hear about the Z1.

I hope the Z1 has the same Light UI theme that the z ultra has been updated with.

Android menu's are so CMD, Telnet looking..

The back of the Z1 is similar to the Nexus device spotted in the Google Kit Kay video.

Shame that they didn't introduce Z1 Mini that was expected also... That would have been dream phone, after diluted crap Minis from HTC & Samsung.
