The Motorola Charm, one of the devices being touted as a T-Mobile back to school special, appears to have made an appearance in a T-Mobile store. While there really isn't much new to come from the small hands on that appears to have been had, we have learned that the device does have a touchpad on the back of the device similar to the Backflip. Sadly, we are still unaware of what Android version the device is actually running, or if the device will launch as the T-Mobile Basil, since that is what the packaging refers to this "project" as. Well, we can hope that since it has made its appearance in store now we will get a firm release date, as well as more specs on the device in the near future. [via TMoNews]

If it has more muscle than the backflip, I say it will be an awesome phone. Hopefully motoblur 2 is better organized.

A Q9droid would be a big winner.A lot of people still like the BB QWERTY form factor.A smaller, yet still high-resolution screen with the Q9h's keyboard.

If we start to see more of these style droid phones... BlackBerry (RIM) should be very very worried. For all the BlackBerry people that just can't live with out their keyboard..Here it is.

I would love to see a high end model like this.

it is about time a front facing qwerty is combined with Android. I am hoping that Sprint can make this happen on their network next.

Motorola is "SMRT" (Homer Simpson) lol. . . One of the biggest consumer markets in cell phones today is the "blackberry user" I definitely think this would absolutely be a nice transition for a blackberry addict to feel comfy moving over to a DROID. It's a wolf in sheeps clothing! I have had the talk with so many BBMers, and once they go DROID they never go back! Its absolutely not the prettiest DROID form factor, but will absolutely win the hearts of many berriers. . . Kudos to moto again!

I love the form factor of this device, reminds me of my Treo 800w.
