Google's $1,024 development tablet known as Project Tango is now showing up on the Play store, but you still can't buy one yet. At the Google I/O developer conference earlier this year, Google had promised that the Project Tango tablet with 3D-sensing camera would arrive later in the year, and the Play store listing seems to confirm that Google is readying availability. At this time, both the white and black Project Tango tablets are listed, with Google saying that the "device is not for sale at this time."
Project Tango is described by Google as:
This 7" tablet includes a powerful NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, integrated depth sensing, motion tracking camera, WiFi and NFC.
As Google is selling Tango as a developer kit, the company is offering no warranties nor refunds for orders, so think carefully when you decide to part ways with $1,024 when Google gives you that opportunity in the future:
The Project Tango Development Kit is being sold as is, and is therefore excluded from any warranties. There are no returns or refunds permitted with your order.
