Phil Nickinson News Friday, 18 December 2009

Looks like we don't have to bother with an actual hands-on of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, now that the FCC has done one of the best photo jobs we've ever seen come out of the Beltway.

But here it is, in all its photographic glory. And along with the pics come the usual FCC fodder -- manual and radio information, which is important because in it we learn of...

Phil Nickinson News Monday, 14 December 2009

And ... Lookie what's slipped through the FCC. The ol' Nexus One. There's been a big of a tiff over exactly what U.S. 3G bands are on board, but T-Mobile is definitely there at 1700MHz. Still up for debate is whether AT&T's 850MHz and 1900MHz are supported for 3G, though it does look good for EDGE. But that would take some wind out of the

The Samsung Behold 2, rumored to rock Android, just cleared the FCC. That would make for exciting news, hmm, 6 months ago? We're kidding. But honestly, with so many amazing Android phones in the pipeline and each one offering fresh UIs and new experiences, will there be room for a device (the Behold 2) that's a successor to a device (the original Behold) we didn't even remember?...

Casey Chan News Tuesday, 29 September 2009

This may simply be coincidence but the other Verizon-bound Android device just cleared the FCC the same time the Motorola Sholes did. In this case, it's the HTC Desire, a device we saw leaked via a Verizon inventory document earlier in the month. Like we said before, a HTC-built, Android-...

The FCC lets us know that the Sholes will run EVDO Rev A / CDMA and more importantly that it'll be equipped with Wi-Fi. Yeah,...

T-Mobile Pulse Passes FCC

Casey Chan News Wednesday, 19 August 2009

If you remember correctly, the T-Mobile Pulse is Huawei's first Android effort (Huawei 8220) and it's very likely the same device as the previously reported Huawei 8230. Well, since the T-Mobile Pulse received its Wi-Fi certificate the other day, it has also passed through the reigns of the notorious...

Motorola Morrison Hits FCC, Has T-Mobile 3G and UMA

Casey Chan News Thursday, 30 July 2009

We love the FCC—they always inadvertently leak information about upcoming tech products and we always reap the benefits. The Motorola Morrison, Motorola’s first Android Phone, just passed through the FCC with specs detailing T-Mobile 3G bands and UMA support. And judging by the fact that T-Mobile runs their own 3G band in the States and is the only carrier to offer UMA support, hmm, we think that the Morrison will be available on T-Mobile.

HTC Hero Passes FCC, Headed for AT&T or Rogers?

Casey Chan News Friday, 03 July 2009

Though we already knew that the HTC Magic went through the FCC's rigorous testing process we didn't have any photo evidence to prove it. This time, we're coming through with the pictures!

These pictures all but confirm that the HTC Magic will be releasing on T-Mobile (apparently Android's favorite carrier) because the T-Mobile logo is smack on top. So we can...

HTC Magic Passes Through the FCC

Casey Chan News Thursday, 12 March 2009

Engadget reports that the HTC Magic went through the FCC to go through what the FCC does to hot item gadgets--inspect 'em. Though the HTC Magic doesn't have T-Mobile 3G capable bands (1700MHz) we can surely expect two different regional models in the future (the G1 did that). We're not sure if this means the HTC Magic or T-Mobile G2 is coming sooner than later, but it's good to...
