Hong Kong will be the first market that gets the Xperia T3, as Sony announced that it will be launching the device in the country next week to the equivalent of $385 (HK$2,998).
With a thickness of 7mm, Sony claims that the Xperia T3 is the thinnest 5.3-inch smartphone in the world. Design-wise, it resembles devices in the Xperia Z series, and sports a steel frame around the sides along with a dedicated camera shutter key. Missing from the Xperia T3 is an IP certification, which means that it is not immune to dust and water.
The specs of the device include a 5.3-inch 720p Triluminos display, 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, 8 MP Exmor RS camera, 1.1 MP front shooter, LTE Category 4 (150 Mbps) connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and DLNA along with a 2500 mAh non-removable battery. On the software side of things, the Xperia T3 comes with the latest Xperia UI, which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
At launch, the device will be available in black, white and purple color variations. As for wider availability, we'll keep you posted as soon as we know more details regarding the same.
