Ed. Note: The 2015 Moto E, released in early March, will remain on Android 5.1 Lollipop and not be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which was made available some seven months later. As such it is not a smartphone we can recommend purchasing.
Available exclusively in the country via Flipkart, Motorola's Moto E 2015 with LTE is ideal for those looking for 4G connectivity on a budget.
At that price, you get a device with a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540) display, Snapdragon 410 with quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory (4.5GB usable), microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera, VGA front shooter and a 2,390mAh battery. Software side of things sees the inclusion of Android 5.0 along with a few features found in costlier Motorola phones, such as Moto Display and the double twist motion to launch the camera.
As is the case with new launches, Flipkart is incentivizing the purchase of the Moto E with LTE by rolling out several offers, which include additional discounts, free Grip Shells and lucrative shopping vouchers. Considering the inclusion of the faster Snapdragon 410 SoC and LTE connectivity, the Moto E 2015 with LTE is a far better choice when compared to the 3G version, which features a Snapdragon 200.
