HTC A9292

Engadget reports that a poster over at Android Community by the name of Onyoursix has shared a screen grab of the internal inventory system for indirect Sprint dealers showing some great news. The HTC A9292 WiMax Bar Phone looks like it’s destined to hit the shelves sometime soon. As we reported back in January and saw again just days ago, this just might be the Supersonic. Seems like all that’s left now is for Sprint to finally come clean with the juicy details in Vegas at CTIA. Come on Dan, you have us lined up with our checkbooks in hand.

Are we ready for a 4.3 inch Snapdragon powered 4G Android smartphone? I sure am. What about you guys and gals?

thats a pretty cheesy picture.lol

I'm ready for a 4.3 screen with dragon but only on VZW network.. will we see such a critter

Good question. I'm guessing "no", and here's why.

We know VZW is getting the N1, and the Incredible.
We can be pretty sure VZW will get the Droid2 whenever Moto/Google get it out.

I would guess (guess is the key word here) that VZW has plans for a device like the Legend, and probably another entry level Motoblur phone. I really hope they come out with a CDMA version of a phone like the Pulse as well.

VZW doesn't like to be second with anything. I'll imagine they are going to spend resources on the NEXT big thing in development and pass the Android Supersonic class phones.

But it wouldn't surprise me to see one running WinPhone7 around Thanksgiving on VZW, and one with WinPohne7 + WiMax on Sprint around the same time.

I believe Verizon will be getting the HTC Incredible it is in essence very similar just minus the WiMax (It will not be LTE 4G either). Like the supersonic it will have the 1ghz processor snapdragon android 2.1 and Sence.

Come to Butthead...come a little closer, huh huh, let me touch you...

Sprint is making a comeback thanks to Clearwire. Watch out Verizon and AT&T. I have put my $$ where my mouth is...their stocks!

Same here. The way I see it they can't go any lower.

Then again, look at Palm.

Sprint might have already started rolling out their 4g but once vzw luanches lte then we are gonna see people jumping ship left to right and carrying super smart phones

Why? Verizon's 3G coverage was so good thanks to buying out so many regional carriers. They will have no real headstart with 4G and their prices are much higher. I'd love to see them compete but so far they have shown no real desire to lower prices to match competition and instead spend the money on ads.

I'll be all over this come June when my upgrade is. Anyone know if there will be a monthy upcharge for having a 4G device? I don't have 4G in my home market yet and don't really wanna pay an additonal monthly fee until I can actually use the service. But, I do love this phone and all that it has to offer.

heck, all i know is which ever comes 1st nexus one or this. i dont think sc has 4g so it will not be a deal breaker to me. its just whatever comes out 1st. though i want to see what that supersonic can do. i hope they will add movie downloads like from blockbust or netflix to bring this all together then the iphone can really start to bite its nails.

@nutflush920

As far as I know, there's a different plan for the 4G aircards, but the price is the same. I'd imagine the 4G handsets will be the same way.

Assuming the actual specs match the rumors floating around, I fully plan on picking up a Supersonic the day it's released.

I'm out of contract on AT&T and have been patiently (ok impatiently) waiting for the Supersonic with the plans to jump ship to Sprint. They're cheaper and have better coverage in the area I'm in, so a win-win in my book.

I'm in if I can talk gbhil to get one too ;)

I can vouche for this picture, I just checked my system within Sprint and saw the same thing.

I actually posted that picture here first on this site, but no one looked at my thread so then I put it up on android community. My work computer sucks thats why the picture is bad quality.

I saw you posted here, but after the article was submitted. There was no slight intended :) Thanks for the info BTW!

And I think the cheesy picture remark was about my HTC logo on an A2 Supersonic Jet rendering lol.
