Firefox on the Motorola Droid

The Firefox for Mobile folks teased us today with a couple more pics of the browser on Android phones. There's the shot of it above that they posted on their Facebook page, and they also linked to another running on the Nexus One. There's still a lot of work to be done, and we still don't have any builds that non-coder types can play with. (If you don't mind compiling your own code, you can play along here.) If you just have to know more about the ins and outs of the project, check out Ars Technica's early go. Otherwise, fold your hands and wait patiently like the rest of us.

Way to go Mozilla. After all that, the 2.1 build doesn't work with an OSK as configured. The one device actually running 2.1 has only an OSK.

Anyone with a Linux machine - this was a painless build. I say go for it as long as you have 1.6+ and a hard keyboard. Show everyone how it's done G1 users!
