Motorola has just posted the release notes for the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the 2014 Moto X Pure Edition.

While it doesn't appear that the update is currently rolling out to users, this could indicate that the software is in testing, keeping up with Motorola's penchant for quick updates to its devices.

The release notes (predictably) mostly contain the changes in Android 5.1 that we've already covered, but Motorola notes that the Moto X will also snag some increased clarity with the camera in this update — which should be a welcome change or one of the device's weaker points. Additionally, it looks as though the Moto X is also getting the new Device Protection feature despite a previous statement from Google that seemingly indicated the feature would only be active on devices that ship with Android 5.1, as well as the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.

In any event, it looks like those rocking the Moto X Pure Edition shouldn't have to wait too much longer for Android 5.1 to hit their devices. If you'd like to check out the release notes in full, you can do so from the source link below.
