The Moto X update onslought continues today, this time with Verizon. The carrier in red has posted the release notes for Android 5.1 Lollipop for the Moto X (2014), signaling that an OTA update should become available momentarily.

The turnaround on this update was pretty fast, as the soak test for the update only began at the end of last week. However, the same update for the Pure Edition Moto X began rolling out that same evening, so it's possible there weren't any bugs to contend with. In any event, once you upgrade, you'll notice some minor improvements over the 5.0 Lollipop experience you've become accustomed to, including a new double "chop" gesture to launch the flashlight.

As with all OTA carrier updates, you may be waiting to snag this one for a bit. Once you snag it, be sure to head on over to our Moto X forum and let us know how the update is treating you.
