Update: The information that appeared on the microsite was not correct. At this time the launch date is still unknown.
Original story: According to a new advertisement, it appears as though Verizon may be launching the Sony Xperia Z4v on August 13. When the device was first announced back in June, all Sony said was that it was due out this summer, but made no mention of a time frame. The upcoming Xperia Z4v features a 5.2-inch display and will run Android 5.0.2 out of the box. Inside, Sony has opted to go with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage that can be expanded with the use of a microSD card.
The Xperia Z4v is water-resistant and hardened against dust, and features a 20.7MP camera. Powering the device is a 3,000mAh battery, which hopefully lasts a full day as the battery is non-removable. Customers looking to pick up the Xperia Z4v in either black or white may be able to do so starting August 13, but unfortunately there is no mention of how much it will set you back to do so.
