Motorola has launched an upgraded variant of the Moto G 2015, dubbed the Moto G Turbo Edition, in Mexico. The handset is set to go on sale in the country starting next week for the equivalent of $283.
While the standard Moto G comes with a 720p display and Snapdragon 410, the Moto G Turbo Edition offers a 720p HD display and an octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC. Other specs are the same, and include 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP camera, 5MP front shooter, dual-SIM and LTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 2,470mAh battery that supports Motorola's Turbo quick charging feature.
The device also sports IP67 certification, which means that it can withstand being submerged in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes. On the software front, the phone will offer Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
There's no mention if we'll see the Moto G Turbo Edition in other markets, but we'll keep you posted on the same.
