Alongside the announcement of the Moto Z, Lenovo has announced a second phone, the Moto Z Force. In many ways identical to the Z, the Z Force also features a Shatter Shield display to survive tough impacts, along with faster charging, being able to charge to 50% in 30 minutes.
Like the Moto Z, the Z Force is 5.2mm thin and has a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display. Powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, the Z Force also has 4GB of RAM. Lenovo is claiming a battery life of around 30 hours for its new phones.
One notable aspect of both phones is support for the new Moto Mods system. Moto Mods are hardware modifications, like projectors, speakers, or cameras, which can be attached to the back of the Moto Z and Z Force with a quick snap through 16 contacts on the back of the phones.
