Carphone Warehouse has announced its most recent Smart Deal, featuring the Sony Xperia U (see our review). Until Thursday, September 20th, it is available for free on Talk Mobile with an upgrade or if you're a new customer for a monthly fee of £10/month. With this deal, you'll get 200 minutes of talk time, 5000 texts and 250MB of data.
In addition, if you're on Orange, 3, or T-Mobile, you can get the device on a prepay deal for £99.99, or £94.95 if you're upgrading.
The Xperia U sports a 3.5-inch, 854 x 480 display, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 5MP camera. While it isn't going to set the world alight, the Xperia U is a pretty solid little device and at these prices could be a good choice for somebody shopping for an Android phone on a budget.
