During IFA 2015 in Berlin, Huawei took to the stage to announce the Mate S. The flagship device looks a bit like the Mate 7, but it packs in a slimmer, more premium design. The Huawei Mate S is sporting a 5.5-inch 1080p display, and most importantly it's using Force Touch technologiy — allowing the phone to know how hard you're pressing on the glass.
On the back is a 13MP camera with OIS, on the front is an 8MP shooter. The Mate S is powered by an octa-core Kirin 935 processor, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Keeping it all juiced up is a 2,700mAh fixed battery, which is said to offer one day or more of battery life for the Mate S.
The Standard version (which comes with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM) runs €649, while the Premium version has 64GB of storage and the same 3GB of RAM, and runs an extra €50, at €699. Huawei has stated that a 128GB version with Force Touch that will be coming later.
