Meta Quest 3's are already SOLD OUT for Cyber Monday, but there's still hope if you're looking for a deal

This year's Black Friday was the first time we'd ever seen the Meta Quest 3 go on sale, and while Best Buy and Amazon both offered gift cards with every purchase for a while, it appears that all stores have sold out of their allotted stock. But never fear, because Costco is here! The membership-driven company is offering 12 months of Meta Horizon Plus for free with every headset, giving you access to 40 games for free every month for the next year.

While that's not a discount on the headset, it does mean you won't have to buy any games for a year, and that library swaps out regularly, meaning you won't be getting bored for a good long time. Several of the best Meta Quest games are on Horizon Plus, so you're not getting some bottom-of-the-barrel junk with this subscription.

The biggest Meta Quest 3 sales seem to be over, but Costco is still offering a 12-month subscription for free with every Meta Quest 3 headset it sells. Horizon Plus is Meta's equivalent of Xbox Game Pass and comes with 40 games for you to play every month, meaning you won't have to buy a single game for an entire year! The trick here is that you'll need to be a Costco member to get the deal, but it's the last in-stock deal we could find!

✅Recommended if: You're looking for the overall best VR headset available, want an upgrade from an old VR headset, want to experience mixed reality gaming, or want to play hundreds of Meta-exclusive games.

❌Skip this deal if: You're a graphics hound and only the best will do. The Meta Quest 3 features the clearest lenses of any major VR headset but its mobile chipset can be somewhat limiting on visual quality. In that case, grab a PSVR 2 for $100 off instead, so long as you have a PS5, of course.

While there are several other VR headsets to choose from, none offer a better overall experience than the Meta Quest 3. Here's what you can expect from the Meta Quest 3 experience:

  • Thousands of available games, including hundreds of exclusives like Batman Arkham Shadow, and Deadpool VR.
  • Top-notch visual quality thanks to high-end Pancake lenses.
  • No wires needed: just put it on your head and play games.
  • Unique mixed reality games that transform your room into a virtual playspace.
  • Freedom to walk anywhere and be more immersed in virtual worlds because of natural movement.

After you pick the headset up, I recommend checking out our ultimate Meta Quest 3 starter kit guide, which will set you up with the best accessories you can outfit your Quest with. Everything you need to get started is in the Meta Quest 3 box, but these accessories will help you get the most out of the experience, including improved headset and controller comfort, longer battery life, unique accessories like haptic vests, and more.

If that deal is still a bit expensive for your budget this year, take a look at the more budget-friendly Meta Quest 3S, instead.

Meta Quest 3S 128GB:$249 for 128GB
$50 off plus free games!

Meta Quest 3S 128GB: $249 for 128GB, includes $50 Best Buy gift card AND free copy of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

Best Buy has a superb deal on the Meta Quest 3S, making it half the price of the Meta Quest 3 and still including a free game and a $50 Best Buy Gift card. If that's not up your alley, here are a few more options:

Best Buy - $329 for 256GB, includes $50 Best Buy gift card AND free copy of Batman Arkham Shadow

Amazon - $249 for 128GB, includes $50 Amazon gift card AND $45 worth of Gorilla Tag in-game currency

Costco - 🚨OUT OF STOCK🚨 $199 for 128GB with 12 months of Horizon Plus at Costco

If you're not familiar with the models, the Meta Quest 3S is powered by the same processor and includes the same color mixed reality capabilities of the Quest 3. It's cheaper because it includes less storage and uses the same lenses from the Quest 2, which aren't as clear as the mainline Quest 3. They play the same games and have all the same capabilities, though, making this an incredible pick if you're not nitpicky about the visuals.
