The latest OnePlus 2 feature that the company has revealed is a fingerprint sensor that they claim to be a "fingerprint sensor is done right." OnePlus recently revealed that it would be officially unveiling the device on July 27, and that they would continue letting everyone know what was in the device. Already knowing that OnePlus has opted for the Snapdragon 810 processor, and USB Type-C for charging and syncing, we now know that the company will also be including a fingerprint sensor.
While there have been several other devices that have fingerprint sensors, OnePlus believes they can do it better than the others have done.
With the OnePlus 2, the fingerprint sensor is done right. It's refined and lightning quick, unlocking your device faster than TouchID. The average person checks their phone over 200 times per day. If you spend just three seconds inputting a PIN number or pattern, that's over an hour of your time gone each week.
On the OnePlus 2, one quick tap takes you right to your homescreen. With the ability to store up to five fingerprint profiles, it's fast, it's safe, and it's secure. Your smartphone is your most personal device, and its security should be personal, too.
Android M is set to bring native fingerprint support to the OS, so it is nice to see OnePlus taking advantage of that ahead of time. Be sure to stay tuned for more features of the OnePlus 2 as they are announced.
