Notion Ink Adam tablet

The long-awaited Notion Ink Adam Android tablet is finally available for preorder. Actually, there are six versions of the thing available for preorder, starting with the LCD Wifi version at $375, and going up to a Pixel Qi screen with Wifi and 3G for $549. Preorders will start this afternoon for those who commented on Notion Ink's blog previously, then later for the rest of us.

Along with that you get Nvidia Open GL support, full SIP and VOIP, Notion Ink's "Eden" user interface, and it'll be upgradeable to to Android 2.3 and likely Honeycomb. You can preorder at Full details at the source. [Notion Ink]

Notion Ink Adam tablet -- all six variants -- available for preorder later today

Anyone know why they don't include the Pixel Qi on Wifi and Wifi+3g? This tablet looks awesome but the screen is what really sets itself apart.

EDIT: should have just followed the link. "Transflective version (Pixel Qi) will start at $499.45 for Wi-Fi only and 3G variants at $549.99"

Hell yeah.. I want this! Been waiting a long time.. and I have posted before so, yay :) but I can't find where to place the order on their page.

How exactly will it do that, nobody has ever seen one or touched one except for the people at Adam. The Archos went up for pre order and didn't show up for months.

I would love one but Ill believe it when I see one.

I think that wacom pad/mouse pad feature may have just sold me on one. I don't think I'll preorder but it will definitely be on my radar for next year.

There's no way digitizer/tablet mode is going to be as accurate as the Wacom tablets which have touch sensitive pens.

What I'm more interested in is a comparative review of the two screen types for displaying photos (which is more accurate)...
Looks like a great tablet...hope it's open enough for the hackers to mod it :-)

"Pre-booking for them will start at 10 December 00:00 AM IST. After 6 hours, it will be open to everyone (which would be 06:00 AM IST)!"

Under "The Launch"

If I were to get a tablet this would be it. I've been following this for a long time now and I'm glad to see they have finally launched. Can't wait to see some hands-on and reviews.
This thing is what should be the vanguard Android tablet instead of the Galaxy Tab imo.
