ASUS has introduced a new Chromebox model with speedier internals at Computex 2015

At its Computex press conference today in Taipei, ASUS has announced that it's bumped up the specs of its Chrome OS-powered Chromebox PC. The new ASUS Chromebox CN62 sports fifth-generation Intel processors (up from the fourth-gen chips in the original) as well as faster 802.11ac Wifi technology (up from b/g/n).

The company also claims the new Chromebox model is quieter and more efficient than ever, idling at just 17dB, while drawing just 6W of power.

There's no word on pricing or availability just yet, but we'd expect it to hit stores around the price point of the previous model.
