LTE Galaxy Tab

If you have been waiting for a 4G LTE tablet ever since the Motorola Xoom was announced back at CES, but were quite sad to see that the 4G upgrade was pushed back, you will be happy to know you can get a 4G LTE Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 today from Verizon. Since it was announced the Tab 10.1 has been quite hyped, we reviewed it not only once, but twice, so be sure to check those out prior to leaving your house to go grab your 4G tab today. Be sure to sound off in the forums and let us know your initial thoughts, and what types of things you will be using that 4G for while on the go!

when I did get my hands on a TAB first thing I said to myself was "Damn where he heck is the 8.9" . . . for me to put a tablet on contract is HAS to be portable.... Say what you want about the Playbook... It's the perfect size.

Nice, get Hive Player for it, the only music player for Honeycomb with a scrollable widget for full music navigation and playback.

@moosc that article does not say no micro sims or no 4g. The article says some stores may have shortages. Then again the stores may have all they need.

Picked mine up today from Verizon.

First thing to note, they moved the sound and power buttons to the left side of the device in favor of the Mico sim slot on the top of the device. It's too early to tell if this is going to become an issue with hand placement yet.

Second, no ear buds like you get with the Wifi only!? I feel jipped. ;)

Third, so far 4G speed tests are 'Ok'. I'm in a heavy LTE area and typically average 20mbps+ down with a Verizon Mifi device. First few tests with the tab where around 8mbps down and 10mbps up. (Still better than 3G). I'm assuming this may be related to network load right now and will be doing more tests throughout the day.
