The Black Friday smartwatch deals have landed, and they're even more impressive than we expected. For one, Best Buy's Black Friday sale includes $120 off the price of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, which is easily one of our favorite last-gen smartwatches on the market.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 7 with an improved processor and overall performance, as well as an upgraded heart rate sensor that's more accurate than previous versions. It also features useful gesture controls such as the double pinch and knock-on gestures, while users also like reports such as the medication interaction warnings, energy scores, and more.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 just dropped $50 at Best Buy as official Black Friday deals start to go live. This particular deal is for the slightly smaller 40mm version of the watch, which includes a 1.3-inch AMOLED display, compared to the 1.5-inch display included with the 44mm version.

✅Recommended if: you're looking for an affordable way to get into smartwatches and you don't need the latest release; you have other Samsung Galaxy devices and you want a watch with the utmost compatibility possible; you're looking for a watch with heart rate monitoring, GPS, sleep tracking, and other common modern smartwatch features.

❌Skip this deal if: you'd rather spend a little more to access the upgrades included on the Galaxy Watch 8; you prefer a super thin and lightweight fitness band-style watch for comfortable use while sleeping; you're looking for a watch with industry-leading battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 was our favorite Android smartwatch upon release for more than one reason. It offers a good-looking AMOLED display, a wide range of health and fitness features, useful gestures, and the easy-to-use Wear OS that's suitable even for those who are new to the smartwatch game.

The differences between the Samsung Watch 7 and Watch 8 are somewhat subtle, with the latter-gen smartwatch featuring a marginal battery upgrade, new health tools and AI features, and a few other improvements. However, it's also worth noting that it sports the same Exynos W100 CPU, display specs, and sensors, meaning it's not so different from the newer model.

It also includes 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, as well as the Samsung BioActive sensor which features an Optical Bio-signal sensor, an Electrical Heart Signal sensor, and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis. Add in dual-band GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and up to two days of battery life, and you've got a pretty solid smartwatch for casual users at this $200 price point.
