The Vizio M558-G1 M-Series Quantum 4K HDR Smart TV is down to $478 on Amazon. You can also find this price at Walmart and find it going for a pretty close price of $480 at Best Buy. This is the lowest price we've ever seen and $20 better than a deal we shared a couple weeks ago.
This is also the first time all year we have seen the M558-G1 go for less than the M557-G0, which is currently $498 at most retailers. That's very significant because while the two sets are nearly identical, the M558-G1 is better in some crucial ways. So today you get the better TV and

Price beats a deal we shared a couple weeks ago by $20. This is Vizio's best bang-for-your-buck 2019 model. Includes local dimming, 600 nits of brightness for superior HDR content, and more. Works with Apple HomeKit and AirPlay, too.

The M-Series Quantum has a ton of smart functionality. For one thing, there's a Chromecast built in so you can access all your favorite streaming apps, including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime VIdeo, and others. Vizio even has its own service called WatchFree that gives you access to over 150 channels with free TV... and that includes live TV like news and sports.
Plus, it works with Apple AirPlay so you can use your Apple device to wirelessly mirror content like web sites and presentations. Use your voice to control the TV with Amazon's Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple's Siri. Do even more with Apple HomeKit, controlling the TV from your Apple Home app.
The TV itself has 4K resolution, support for HDR content through Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, a wide spectrum of color thanks to Vizio's Quantum tech, and more.
I mentioned before Vizio released two very similar models in the 55-inch range, the M558-G1 and the M557-G0. Well, the biggest difference between these two sets is the M558-G1, the set on sale today, has 90 local dimming zones compared to 16 for the other version and 600 nits of brightness compared to 400. While those words might not mean much to you, it means big things if you want to watch HDR content. Everything looks better on the M558-G1. The only advantage the M557-G0 has is better integrated speakers, but you should be hooking these TVs up to a sound bar or speaker system anyway.
