Get in now to avoid Plex's upcoming price hike

If you're a Plex subscriber or thinking of becoming one, now would be the time to renew or join as Plex has announced that it will be increasing its membership prices for the monthly, annual, and lifetime plans. The company said that current customers can lock in their rates so that subscriptions won't increase so if you've been on the fence, you should act sooner than later to get the current pricing.

According to Plex, the new pricing structure will be:

  • Monthly Plex Pass subscriptions will increase from $3.99 to $4.99 per month.

  • Annual Plex Pass subscriptions will increase from $29.99 to $39.99 per year.

  • Lifetime Plex Passes will increase from $74.99 to $149.99.

"Again, please note that these new rates will only affect new subscriptions moving forward," Plex said of its rate changes. "Of course, as we've mentioned in the past, we may need to charge separately for certain types of premium content, and we may need to adjust Plex Pass prices again in the future."
