Those looking forward to the impending launch of Xiaomi's highly anticipated Mi 5 flagship may now have a date to look forward to: February 24. In a post on Weibo, company co-founder Li Wanqiang announced that Xiaomi is preparing to hold an event on February 24, where it's likely we'll see the Mi 5 shown off in official capacity. This follows Xiaomi's previous statements that the official launch would occur sometime in February after the Chinese New Year.
As far as specs are concerned, the Mi 5 has only been confirmed to sport a Snapdragon 820 processor. Rumors and leaks further suggest that the Mi 5 will feature a metal body with a fingerprint scanner embedded in a home button on the front. The smartphone is also said to carry a 5.2-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM, and 32 or 64GB of internal storage.
