After teasing an upcoming flagship announcement earlier this week, Xiaomi has shared an image on its social media channels that suggests that the Chinese vendor may launch more than one device on January 15.
Based on the leaks out of China thus far, it is likely that we'll see the next iteration in the Mi series, which will likely be called the Mi 5. Xiaomi's second teaser, which could mean "Not S" or "Not 5" suggests that we may be looking at the Redmi Note 2, possibly branded as the Mi 5 Plus.
As for the device itself, a leaked render on Twitter revealed that the Mi 5 Plus would feature a near bezel-less display.
As for the kind of hardware we can expect, Mi 5 Plus is said to feature Snapdragon 805 SoC, QHD display, 3 GB RAM and 16/64 GB internal storage. We'll know more tomorrow, so stay tuned! For now, here's a video of Xiaomi employees reacting to the upcoming device:
