Fitbit Group Challenge

The month of June is all about getting #MobileFit. We have a lot of great content lined up across iMore, Android Central, CrackBerry, Windows Phone Central and Connectedly that will highlight the intersection of fitness and mobile technology. There's also going to be a lot of fun had by everyone involved. We also invite those of you with a Fitbit activity tracker to join our community challenge. Details on that after the break.

Fitbit Group Challenge Prizes and Rules

Fitbit Aria

We're giving away a Fitbit Aria WiFi Smart Scale to the three individuals who are on top of the leaderboard at the end of the month. We're also giving away one extra gift Fitbit Aria WiFi Smart Scale randomly to someone in our Fitbit group. That's right, four prizes for getting #MobileFit with us!!!!!

In the group you can view steps, miles and active minutes for members. We'll be picking the top three in the steps category. The random drawing Fitbit Aria WiFi Smart Scale will be given to an individual in the group who isn't in the top three. You need to be at least six years old to participate and this is open to anybody! We'll ship the scale to Timbuktu for you.

The Fitbit Aria WiFi Smart Scale is an awesome complement to your Fitbit activity tracker. It's a connected scale that works over your home Wi-Fi network. It will analyze your weight, body fat percentage and BMI. Stats are automatically synced with your Fitbit account. The Fitbit Aria can track up to 8 individuals in a household. A very nifty connected gadget to go with your Fitbit.

On June 1st, this Sunday, the competition starts. We'll keep that group public for seven days and will make it a private group when the clock strikes 12:01 AM on the 8th. This way no ultra-marathoners join the group a day before the end of the month and instantly end up on top of the leaderboards.

Don't have a Fitbit? Don't worry, we've got tons of other giveaways planned for the month that you can participate in.

Hint: Head to the Connectedly forums and check out the #MobileFit section. Become active there and good things will could happen.

Are you in our Fitbit group? Tell us which Fitbit you're using!

Lucky you. I had to return my Force due to the skin irritation. I went back to my FitBit One. I'm eagerly awaiting the upgrade to the Force.

I'm up for this yeah, the Aria has always intrigued me. Which for scales, is some achievement! Love my flex, just wish it did stair counting.

Joined the group and I'm for the challenge. Now I need to go get off my butt get some good walking in everyday.

Force with my Galaxy S4. A few of my friends have a FitBit and seldom use it daily, so joining this group should be interesting.

Hook it up to your reciprocating saw and let it rip. We just had one of these contests and work and many people obviously walked 20-50 miles EACH day! I would prefer to enter a contest that gives you a chance to win for each day you register SOMETHING that way there is no incentive to cheat. So, for a 30 day challenge you can earn up to 30 spots in the final drawing. Only do 1 or 2 days? then only 1 or 2 spots.

I think I'll enter here and recharge the battery on my saw.

Believe it or not, some people really are that active. Which is why in the Fitbit group we'll be giving away one scale randomly. Plus, we've got tons of other contests/giveaways and prizes planned for the whole month of June! #MobileFit!

There's no way I'll get out of the bottom ten I would think since I'm desk bound most of the day anymore. But I just replaced the Zip I lost three weeks ago, so I'm game. Besides, I need the encouragement.

I hopped on the fitbit wagon last month and love it. I'm planning on buying that damn scale whether I win or not haha.

I just strap my Droid to my arm and fire up RunKeeper for a few miles a few times a week. Hopefully we'll have nice challenges for the legions who do just that.

I've had the Force since December and love it. Couple it with MyFitnessPal and it has really made a huge difference for me. So much so that I've already ran in three 5k races! This is coming from someone that never worked out or ran at all before it.

I have the flex and the scale already but joined up because I need to get off my butt more often. I'm already #30 on the leader board with my day to day activities and workouts!

Have a One, can no longer stand to have anything around my wrist, not sure what I'll do when the perfect smartwatch comes out (LOL like yeah sure)

Kind of sucks considering anyone with a Force more than likely sent it back. Even without the skin issue, I wasn't going to keep a device they will no longer support.

lol...I just logged on to look and even though I average 20-30k steps a day (10-15 miles) I can see I don't stand a chance with people who put up 40k steps in 6 hours...

Fitbit Flex with Galaxy S5 - love it. Thought I was doing good with 18K steps yesterday but 36 hours into June and someone already has 58,667 steps? I dont stand a chance.
