YouTube TV subscribers can now share free two-week trials with friends and family
What you need to know
- YouTube subscribers are getting a special two-week extended trial code to share with their friends and family.
- The two-week free trial will have to be redeemed before October 16.
- YouTube TV offers access to over 70 channels and unlimited storage space.
If you are a YouTube TV subscriber, you can now share a special two-week extended free trial with friends and family. YouTube has started sending emails (Via: 9to5Google) to subscribers with a shareable URL that will let them share free two-week trials with their loved ones.
Once you share the URL included in the email with your friends and family, they will have to head over to the YouTube TV sign-up page to grab the extended free trial. However, you will have to hurry, as the offer must be redeemed by October 16. It should also be noted that only new users who hadn't signed up for a free YouTube TV trial earlier can redeem this offer.
While YouTube TV was offering an extended two-week trial for a limited period to everyone in August, it now offers a 5-day trial to the cord-cutting service at sign-up.
YouTube's cord-cutting service offers 70+ channels, unlimited storage space to record your favorite shows, and the ability to share your subscription with your family with up to 3 simultaneous streams. Since there is no contract involved, you can cancel whenever you want.

I tried but it is a hard sell with the $49.99 monthly price tag. My friends all said, why would they drop cable which gives me more channels and a lower price for the internet package when bundled together.
Don't waste time doing this or wasting friends time sending it. Forces person getting this "gift" to put in their credit card and then forces them to remember to cancel service after the 2 week trial. No thanks.
It's as simple as setting a reminder a few days prior.
