Sony has today unveiled the Xperia M2 Aqua, a new mid-range waterproof smartphone. It's an interesting release since this device marks the company's first attempt to bring waterproof technology to a mid-range price point. The specifications are pretty solid as it's essentially the Xperia M2 with some extra sealing for a quick swim.
The Xperia M2 Aqua sports a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor 1.2 GHz CPU, 4G LTE capabilities, a bright and vibrant 4.8-inch Quad HD display, 2300 mAh battery and 8MP rear camera with multiple technologies (Exmor RS, HDR imaging and more).
Overall, it's a neat device which allows owners to capture some unique shots both in and out of water. The Aqua will be available in both black and white variants, rolling out from Autumn 2014 to markets including Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Sony announces the new Xperia M2 Aqua
