HTC One A9 is now available for pre-order at Vodafone and Unlocked Mobiles

The HTC One A9 is readily available for pre-order at Unlocked Mobiles and Vodafone in the UK. The former store has the new smartphone listed for £450 (including VAT) for the grey and silver variants, while Vodafone will ask for £35 a month (with a £9 up front fee) for 1GB, or £45 if you'd like more data and entertainment.

The One A9 features a 5-inch 1080p display along with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. The A9 is the first non-Nexus handset to launch with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But should you pay £450 for this smartphone? Our Alex Dobie threw up a superb piece on reasons as to why you should avoid paying so much for the A9.

  • This would be a killer £300 phone :(
  • Not even convinced at 300 to be honest. Besides a finger print scanner this doesn't do much more than the Moto X Play which is less for double the storage. Posted via the Android Central App

  • I see Samsung suing HTC for that home button.....
  • Would anyone be dumb enough to pay that price for the phone. Seems like Vodafone are going through the motions with this phone and HTC. Can see then dumping it in two months citing low sales as the reason Posted via the Android Central App
